There are a host of new voices and returning favourites next year on ABC Radio Darwin.
Top end listeners will start the day with Adam Steer who moves to Breakfast following the announcement that Jo Laverty will move to ABC Radio Adelaide at the end of the year.
Adam will lead listeners into Rick Hind on Mornings. Rick’s ABC career includes stints in Darwin, Newcastle and Alice Springs as a sports broadcaster, presenter, producer and manager. He’s very excited to join the weekday team and bring local audiences the news, issues and conversation for a Top End audience.
Matt Brann will be back in 2024 for NT Country Hour bringing rural news and events from the Northern Territory and across Australia.
Liz Trevaskis is in the Drive seat for another year with Darwin’s best mix of news, music, and entertainment as you make your way home.
ABC Radio Darwin is excited to announce Jess Ong will return to the airwaves as host of Afternoons in 2024.
Jess said: I’m delighted to be back in the ABC team and doing the job I love the most….talking to Darwin about the things that matter to us.”
After joining the Evenings program in 2023, Dinushi Dias will leave the Evenings slot at the end of this year to pursue new career opportunities. Evenings will now be heard from Adelaide with new host Jason Chong.
Dinushi said: “I’ve loved the chance to work with a wonderful team at ABC Radio Darwin. Now I’m very excited to see what the future holds.”
