GMG, a prominent Dubai-based enterprise holding distribution rights for over 120 esteemed global brands in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, is actively pursuing global trade and investment expansion. Mohammad A. Baker, Deputy Chairman and CEO, recently convened with Mohamed Hage OAM to explore avenues for fostering enhanced bilateral trade and investment opportunities.

GMG boasts a diverse portfolio encompassing multi-brand retail chains spanning sports, food, and beauty sectors. The Australian Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry President and National Chairman delved into potential collaborations aimed at supporting GMG’s ambitious expansion strategy.

The conglomerate, deeply rooted in the UAE, has recently unveiled comprehensive global expansion plans for six of its flagship food brands. Over the next five years, GMG aims to penetrate international markets across four continents, positioning the UAE as a key exporter of value-added food products.

Mr. Mohammad A. Baker emphasised that the deployment of state-of-the-art facilities will play a pivotal role in advancing GMG’s contribution to the UAE’s National Food Security Strategy 2051 and the ‘Make in the Emirates’ initiative. Additionally, this strategic move is poised to bolster the country’s global standing as a significant player in the international food export market.

GMG has successfully cultivated numerous homegrown concepts, including Sun & Sand Sports – now the largest sports retailer in the Middle East – alongside other notable ventures such as Supercare pharmacies and the Farm Fresh food brand.

This collaboration underscores GMG’s commitment to driving economic growth and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships in the pursuit of global trade and investment excellence.
