Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty, has welcomed the planned upgrade of Eagle Vale High School into a specialist sports high school. 

The upgrade was previously announced as an election commitment of a Minns Labor Government, with an announcement today from the Premier Chris Minns reaffirming support for the upgrade. 

Member for Leppington, Nathan Hagarty said: 

“My electorate of Leppington has a distinct sporting character, and I am proud to be part of a government delivering the best sporting infrastructure for our area.” 

“I am excited to see the sporting talents of the kids of the Macarthur region recognised with a specialist sports high school in their backyard.” 

“Sport is the lifeblood of the South-West, and our region has produced some of this nation’s greatest sporting champions. Today’s announcement of a new sports high school in Eagle Vale will help develop local talent to reach their potential.” 

“Our region’s sports prodigies have been forced up until now to travel outside the area to hone their talents. This upgrade will allow talent to be developed locally.”
