In response to the tragedy, Senate Democrats have sent a letter to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demanding a swift investigation. The letter, signed by 46 senators, emphasized the horrific nature of the strike and called for answers regarding the military’s actions and the role of artificial intelligence in the operation.

Iranian officials have condemned the strike, attributing the responsibility to the US and Israel. The Iranian government has reported that funerals for the victims, mostly young girls, have been held, although independent verification of the casualty figures remains pending.
