Arabic version: كاني ويست يتصدر مهرجان وايرلس في لندن هذا يوليو
Kanye West, now known as Ye, is set to headline the Wireless festival in London, marking his first UK performance in over a decade. According to BBC News, the festival will take place from July 10 to 12, where Ye is expected to perform tracks from his extensive discography, including songs from his debut album, ‘The College Dropout’, and later works such as ‘Graduation’ and ‘The Life of Pablo’.
Ye last performed in the UK in 2015 when he headlined the Glastonbury festival. His return comes after a period marked by significant controversy, including antisemitic comments for which he has since apologized. The announcement follows the release of his twelfth studio album, ‘Bully’. Festival organizers have described Ye’s UK comeback as an extraordinary chapter in the festival’s history.
In recent years, Ye has faced backlash for his remarks, leading to a blocked entry into Australia in 2025 after he released a song glorifying Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. His partnership with Adidas was also terminated due to his antisemitic comments. Despite the controversies, Ye has been gradually returning to major stages, having headlined Rolling Loud in California in 2024 and performed in several countries over the past two years.
No other acts have been confirmed for the 2026 Wireless festival lineup yet. Last year, Canadian rapper Drake headlined the festival, which saw around 50,000 fans attending each day. The festival continues to be a significant event in the rap, R&B, and hip-hop music scenes.
