Arabic version: ساراسينس يسحقون سيل شاركس بفوز قياسي 85-19
In a stunning display of dominance, Saracens defeated Sale Sharks 85-19 at the CorpAcq Stadium, bolstered by Noah Caluori’s remarkable five-try performance. The victory not only showcased Saracens’ attacking prowess but also significantly improved their chances for a playoff spot in the Premiership.
According to BBC News, Caluori equaled his previous five-try feat against the Sharks in October, extending his lead at the top of the league’s try-scoring charts. Saracens scored a total of 13 tries, with contributions from Rotimi Segun, Tom Willis, Rhys Carre, Fergus Burke, and others.
The Sharks struggled defensively, allowing Saracens to score six tries in the first half alone. Despite a brief resurgence after halftime, where Sale managed to score two tries through Tom O’Flaherty and Asher Opoku-Fordjour, they could not keep pace with the relentless Saracens attack.
As the match progressed, Saracens continued to exploit Sale’s defensive weaknesses, with Caluori scoring three tries in the second half. The result marks Sale’s largest loss in league history, leaving them with little hope of catching up to higher-ranking teams.
The victory positions Saracens in sixth place, five points behind Bristol, while Sale remains in seventh place. The match served as a critical reminder of the gulf in performance levels between the two teams this season.
