The Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts is launching the 13th edition of the “Bashayer Jerash” program, which focuses on promising young Jordanian talents in the fields of artistic and cultural creativity. The events will take place at the Royal Cultural Center in Amman during the festival.

The festival’s executive director, Ayman Samawi, praised the program and its continuity, emphasizing that it serves as a dynamic and leading platform for young creators. He noted that the program goes beyond merely discovering and showcasing talents; it also aims to refine and prepare them for presentation to the public, media, and professionals, ensuring they receive appropriate support from relevant national initiatives.

Samawi added that the program is committed to a future that relies on the creativity of youth and their ability to showcase and develop their talents for the benefit and prosperity of society. He highlighted that the festival’s management and its high committee provide significant support and interest in the program.

On his part, the founder and director of the program, media writer Ramzi Al-Ghazwi, commended the festival’s management for its dedication to strengthening and developing the program. He explained that while the program is a true treasure trove for talents, it does not create them; rather, it provides them with the opportunity to present themselves correctly. Since its inception in 2012, the program has identified hundreds of talents that have made a significant impact in both artistic and cultural spheres.

Al-Ghazwi further clarified that this year, the fields of ceramics and decoration will be included alongside storytelling, poetry, visual arts, Arabic calligraphy, and sculpture. He mentioned that the program not only invites talented youth to apply but also actively searches for talents by collaborating with the Ministries of Education, Culture, and Youth, as well as public and private universities.

It is worth noting that specialized committees are working to classify the submitted applications, conduct interviews to evaluate them, and select the most suitable candidates aged between fifteen and thirty years. The program is accepting participation requests via email at [email protected] for one month starting today, and applicants are required to send samples of the works they intend to submit.
