Local businesses and entrepreneurs are set to benefit from City of Parramatta’s 2026 Small Business Program, delivering a series of free workshops designed to help businesses start, grow and adapt in a changing economy.

The annual program is led by industry experts providing new and existing businesses with the tools to accelerate their business through educational and practical sessions, running until November.

City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said Parramatta is a city of opportunity and the program will help local businesses and entrepreneurs reach their full potential.

“Small businesses are the beating heart of our community, this is about investing in our growing workforce and providing local businesses and entrepreneurs with the skills and tools to help give their business a boost,” Cr Zaiter said.

“We’re becoming Western Sydney’s job engine with employment in our City growing by 18% in the past decade and we’re not done yet.

“Parramatta means business – we have a bold target of creating more than 150,000 jobs by 2050 and are pulling all the levers to make our vision our reality.”

Council has created a comprehensive online resource to support businesses looking to start, relocate or grow in Parramatta.

Cr Zaiter said now is the time to invest in Parramatta with more than 34,000 businesses across the City.

“Our economy is growing and businesses are choosing Parramatta because it offers a world of opportunity – whether you are launching a startup, relocating your team or expanding operations in the heart of Western Sydney, we want to make sure you have everything you need to get started,” Cr Zaiter said.

“This guide will offer businesses resources on how to make the most of available grants and support, information on local regulations and licenses to networking opportunities to help businesses succeed.”

Registrations are essential. Visit Council’s website for more information about the Small Business Program or Guide for New Businesses.
