I am not inclined towards conspiracy theories; rather, I prefer an objective reading and evaluation of the events surrounding the match between Egypt and Argentina. However, what we witnessed last night was an outright theft of the match, happening live in front of everyone, and it is a disgrace to Infantino and the International Football Federation (FIFA).

Did Egypt’s national team pay the price for Hossam Hassan’s statements regarding Gaza, which brought the Palestinian issue back into the spotlight for the 6 billion viewers watching the World Cup? Were these statements stronger than the bullets and the genocide perpetrated by Netanyahu and the far-right Israelis in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem? Or were they simply the errors and transgressions of Infantino, who acted as a pawn for President Trump and those with dirty money, as well as the sponsors and businessmen who contributed billions of dollars to the so-called marketing of this tournament? Where did all that money go? To the Israeli entity? Or somewhere else?

The theft of the match from Egypt in favor of the world champion Argentina was a punishment for speaking out about the theft of a homeland like Palestine. Following that, the Zionist lobby in America and around the world moved quickly to ensure that Egypt would not win under any circumstances. The cancellation of Egypt’s second goal and the failure to award a penalty for Mohamed Salah were natural outcomes of the instructions given to the French referee, who exerted immense psychological pressure on Egypt’s players throughout the final ten minutes. The message was clear: Egypt should not win against Argentina and Messi, regardless of the circumstances.

Has the World Cup been politicized? Is it now a game for the strong, the sponsors, and the Zionist lobby? Or is it the case that Hossam Hassan stepped out of line and exposed the sins of what is occurring in Gaza and the West Bank, where Palestinians are being killed in cold blood in front of the world’s cameras, with no one taking action and silence reigning supreme? Will there be a transparent investigation into the theft of the match involving Egypt, as well as the reinstatement of the American player after his ejection? Or do the powerful dictate the fates of football and nations?

It is enough to note that the Egyptian national team is the Arab and African team that has made a significant impact, placing itself among the elite and surprising everyone. Egypt has created a political and footballing earthquake in the World Cup, catching both friends and foes off guard.
