According to France 24, more than 80% of civilian deaths in Sudan over the start of this year were caused by drone attacks, according to the UN.

The warning was featured in the 10-minute France 24 programme Eye on Africa, issued on August 5, 2026. The report said drone attacks were responsible for the large majority of civilian deaths recorded during the period cited by the UN.

The programme also covered Spain’s effort to determine what to do with more than 1,000 unaccompanied minors who remain in Ceuta. According to the report, they cannot legally be deported.
