According to BBC News, the death of former Cambridge professor Jason Arday and warnings over wildfire risks dominate several UK newspaper front pages. The Times reports that Arday, 41, was found dead after being at the centre of a row focused in part on accusations of plagiarism. Police said his death is being treated as “unexpected, but is not believed to be suspicious”.

The Daily Telegraph also carries the news of Arday’s death and notes that his memoir is due to be published in the UK later in August. BBC News says Arday is pictured on many front pages. The Times also reports that Andy Burnham has called up the military to tackle fires.

Wildfire concerns feature prominently elsewhere.
