According to BBC News, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have arrived back in the UK. Prince Harry, Meghan and their children, Archie and Lilibet, are believed to have flown privately from California and landed in Birmingham shortly before midday.

A spokesman for the couple said: “this is not something we would comment on”. A source told the BBC there did not appear to be a police presence when Harry and his family left the airport.

It was reported last week that the couple would relocate to the UK in August. They will live in Britain as non-working royals and will not return to official duties. The family are thought to be based at a private property outside London in the Cotswolds area.

Archie and Lilibet have been enrolled in school, with the new term due to begin next week. While the Sussexes did not confirm their arrival, their spokesman said the family’s rescued chickens would remain in California, while their dogs Mia and Pula would travel with them.

King Charles was told about the move earlier this month, and the Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed. It remains unclear what security arrangements will be made for the family in the UK and who will pay for them.
