Arabic version: كرامر يرى مزيدًا من الضغوط على قطاع الذكاء الاصطناعي
According to Cnbc, Jim Cramer said the artificial-intelligence trade could face further pain after a broad collapse in related stocks. He pointed to Meta’s prospective capital raise and warned that upcoming reports from Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon could offer upside, but might not outweigh investors’ concerns about the sector.
Cramer said data-center development has become a major risk for the AI complex. He described local concerns over water use and electricity prices, as well as political pressure around data centers. Higher rates, higher oil prices and uncertainty over what the president may do with Iran were also cited as factors weighing on the group.
Nvidia remains central to the AI buildout, Cramer said, because of demand for its graphics processing units. But he identified the financing of neocloud companies as another weak link. Nvidia has supported firms including CoreWeave, Nebius and Iren through equity stakes and partnerships, while those companies have purchased Nvidia chips. Cramer said worries intensified as CoreWeave’s stock fell and concerns grew about its high-yield debt.
He argued that AI is not disappearing, but said the industry has relatively few companies able to pay for the infrastructure because, in his view, meaningful profits have accrued mainly to Nvidia. Cramer said prospective initial public offerings by Anthropic and OpenAI could matter for funding, while continued orders for Nvidia could help stabilize the picture.
Cramer said he has trimmed AI exposure and sold parabolic movers except Apple and Nvidia, while seeking to “high grade” the portfolio. He said Microsoft, Amazon or Alphabet could each spark a rally, though he expects such rallies to fade. Despite the near-term pressure, he maintained that the AI revolution is real and said long-term winners could emerge after substantial losses for others.
