Arabic version: إصابة ثلاثة في حادث طعن بداندينونغ
According to ABC News, a woman and two men were taken to hospital after emergency services found them with stab wounds at a home in Woodlee Street, Dandenong, in Melbourne’s south-east, about 11:30am on Friday.
Police said the 28-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries. Two men, aged 26 and 35, were also taken to hospital with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Detectives from the family violence investigation unit are responding to the incident.
Acting Inspector Rebecca Hall said the three people involved were known to one another and police were not looking for anyone else. She said the woman’s injuries were potentially life-threatening, while the two men were not in a critical condition.
Nearby Dandenong North Primary School was briefly placed into lockdown while emergency services responded. Hall said children were inside the school at the time, were prevented from coming to the street and did not witness the incident. Principal Paul Hilton told parents the school had implemented its safety procedures due to an incident opposite the grounds, before resuming normal operations after police advised it was safe.
A crime scene guard remained in place on Woodlee Street. Police have urged witnesses and anyone with footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
