According to BBC News, Saturday’s National League South match between Folkestone Invicta and Truro City was abandoned before kick-off after Truro midfielder Yassine En-Neyah collapsed during the warm-up.

The 26-year-old was taken ill shortly before the game in Kent and required medical assistance. Truro said En-Neyah was transferred to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for further treatment.

“Yassine En-Neyah required medical assistance during the warm-up and was transferred to the William Harvey hospital in Ashford for further treatment,” the club said. “We will provide a further update in due course.”

En-Neyah joined the Cornish side from Irish club Waterford in February 2023. He had previously been on the books at Nottingham Forest and has scored one goal in 11 appearances for Truro this season.

Truro were second in the table before Saturday afternoon’s matches, while Folkestone were 15th.
