ABC Radio Perth in 2024 is an exciting mix of returning favourites and great new voices.
Nadia Mitsopoulos will continue as Mornings presenter for 2024 and Joanna Trilling will also be back to present Drive.
ABC Perth manager Danielle Benda said she was very pleased to have two such strong female voices on the airwaves in Perth.
“Nadia is a huge asset to us at ABC Radio Perth, she drives the news agenda and regularly breaks important stories that have brought about important changes in WA,” she said.
“And Jo brings a great freshness, vitality and intelligence to Drive.”
It was recently announced that respected Perth journalist and broadcaster Mark Gibson would present the Breakfast program from January.
Former late night newsreader Michael Tetlow will continue in his role on Afternoons, which he has been presenting since September.
“Michael has great charm, warmth and professionalism. He has a really good understanding of Perth and the State and is just excellent company every afternoon,” Benda said.
Current Saturday Breakfast host Roanna Edwards last week announced she would be stepping away from the microphone after juggling broadcasting and a full-time corporate role for the past three years.
In 2024 Saturday Breakfast will be hosted by Amber Cunningham.
“I am sorry to see Ro go, but I am delighted that one of our favourite producers here at the ABC, Amber Cunningham, will be stepping up to the microphone in her own right.” Benda said.
“Regular listeners will know how funny and clever Amber is and she will be a great person to spend time with on a Saturday morning,” Benda said.
Amber, who had a long career in television, has been working in radio production for many years.
She will commence on Saturdays from December 9.
