Parramatta’s annual Seniors’ Christmas Celebration and Christmas brunch for people in need are set to bring joy and warmth to the community as festive celebrations ramp up across the City next month.
At Riverside Theatres, seniors and their companions can join fellow peers for a festive celebration including a morning tea and musical performance of Irving Berlin’s ‘Holiday Inn’ on 10 December from 9.30am-1pm.
On Christmas Day, the Making a Difference for Christmas brunch will take place in Parramatta Town Hall offering people in need a Christmas feast with all the trimmings, Christmas carols and gifts from 10.30am-1pm. This annual event is led by the Wehbe family and supported by Council.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said Christmas is the time to give back to people who are less fortunate and lonely.
“We’re spreading Christmas cheer across our City and want to make sure everyone gets a chance to experience the magic of Christmas,” Cr Zaiter said.
“I encourage local seniors and community members experiencing hardship to come along and celebrate with a delicious meal and good company.”

Where: Parramatta Town Hall

Cost: Free, walk-ins welcome.
Cr Zaiter said there’s plenty to explore and celebrate in the City with an expanded program of events for Christmas and summer.
“Our festive calendar is jam-packed with the return of our much-loved Carols at Parramatta Park next month and in the meantime, why not explore our Christmas decorations at Parramatta Square for a magical photo opportunity,” Cr Zaiter said.
“We’re also gearing up for a bumper program of free summer events for New Year’s Eve, Australia Day and Lunar New Year that continue to grow year on year.”
