Despite the gloomy skies and persistent rain, nothing could dampen the spirit of generosity at this year’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea hosted by Shirley and the Wehbe family. Held on Tuesday, 20th May 2025, the event took place at the family’s Oatlands residence and stood as a proud continuation of the late Ray Wehbe’s legacy of service and community support.

From 6am until midday, hundreds gathered under umbrellas and marquees to enjoy breakfast and tea—all in support of cancer research through the Cancer Council. The event, which grew to become one of the largest morning tea breakfasts in the region, saw the attendance of prominent religious, political, and community leaders. Their presence further underscored the profound impact the Wehbe family continues to have on the local community.

Media coverage from Channel 7 and SBS Arabic TV captured the heartfelt atmosphere, showcasing the strength of a community united by compassion and purpose. Oz Arab Media was represented by Mr. Elie Kaltoum.

An additional fundraiser was also held at Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral the following Sunday, further boosting donations.
