Under 12 years of the Liberals, Western Sydney residents are paying more for tolls than ever before, higher waiting times for Emergency Departments, longer ramping times and faced broken promises on school infrastructure – but apparently ‘have never had it so good’.  
 
That was the arrogant and out of touch statement by the Minister for Western in Question Time today.
 
Health
 
After 12 years under the Liberals, health care in Western Sydney is in a state of crisis:

• In Western Sydney, 3 out of 4 patients in the highest category emergency did not have their treatment start on time – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’.
• In Western Sydney, 1 in 8  or over 6,600 in one quarter left the emergency department without completing treatment – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’.

Education

After 12 years of this Liberal government, we are facing a chronic shortage of teachers in Western Sydney and school infrastructure that was promised but never delivered:

• Overcrowded schools – 9 out of 10 of the most overcapacity schools are in Greater Western Sydney schools – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’.
• Schools in Rydalmere, Marsden Park, Tallawong and Gregory Hills have been promised but not built – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’.

 
Energy Prices

After 12 years of this Liberal government, energy bills in Western Sydney have become so high they are unmanageable for many families: 

• Last year energy prices in Western Sydney went up 18.3% or $369 for households, and 19.7% or $1,130 for businesses – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’.
• Western Sydney families are paying $200 a year in super profits to privatised energy companies – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’. 

Tolls
 
After 12 years of this Liberal government, families in Western Sydney pay more for tolls than ever before:

• 17 of the top 20 tolled postcodes are in Western Sydney – with Sydney motorists paying over $100 billion to private toll road operators – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’.
• Some families in Western Sydney are paying $6000 a year in tolls because of Dominic Perrottet’s toll road monopoly – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’. 

Transport

After 12 years of this Liberal government, Western Sydney has missed on their fair share of public transport: 

• Every single Western Sydney LGA is ranked behind the rest of Sydney for access to public transport – and has missed out on promised projects while billions flowed elsewhere – – but according to the Minister for Western Sydney, they’ve ‘never had it so good’. 

Dominic Perrottet and the Liberals are a tired, 12 year old Government failing to deliver the essential services Western Sydney families rely on.
