A groundbreaking conference in Riyadh this October is set to enhance trade partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Australia, with a focus on sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, and education.

The inaugural Aussie Expo will take place from October 21 to 22 at the KAFD Conference Centre, highlighting technology, infrastructure, and mining as additional focal points. This event, organised by the Trademark Group of Companies, aims to facilitate the expansion of Australian businesses into the Kingdom and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, as well as to support businesses from these areas in entering the Australian market.

According to the UN Comtrade database, Australia’s exports to Saudi Arabia totalled $789.65 million in 2023, while Saudi Arabia’s exports to Australia were valued at $702.75 million during the same period.

“For the past two and a half years, the Trademark Group of Companies has been dedicated to creating a bridge between Australian and Saudi Arabian businesses. For the first time, an Australian exhibition showcasing our talents, products, and services will be proudly held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I would like to thank all stakeholders involved in ensuring the success of this event,” said Sam Jamsheedi, chairman and founder of Trademark Group of Companies.

On June 1, the Trademark Group of Companies inaugurated its office in Riyadh, targeting economic opportunities in Saudi Arabia and offering a platform for Australian companies to explore and deepen trade ties with the Kingdom.

Under the theme “Accelerating Partnerships, Unlocking New Opportunities,” Aussie Expo Riyadh 2024 will showcase excellence across various industries. The event will feature conference sessions and workshops, bringing together key government officials, industry leaders, decision-makers, and entrepreneurs from both nations.

These networking opportunities are expected to be a significant draw for attendees, providing a platform to explore potential partnerships that drive mutual success. Discussions will cover renewable energy, sustainability, tourism and hospitality, retail and consumer goods, and transport and logistics.

Speaking to Arab News at the Australian Saudi Business Networking Event in Riyadh earlier in June, Australian Ambassador Mark Donovan highlighted the importance of the Trademark Group of Companies’ new office in the Kingdom for exploring investment opportunities across various sectors.

In May, Saudi Arabia and Australia signed an agreement to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors and strengthen bilateral trade ties. The Australia Saudi Business Council and Forum, along with the Export Council of Australia, agreed to boost collaboration in industry, mining, food, technology, infrastructure, food & beverage, education, healthcare and mining as additional focal points, and artificial intelligence. This agreement aims to create more opportunities for Australian exporters to work with Saudi entities, further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
