His Grace Bishop Serapion, the Bishop of Los Angeles, Southern California, and Hawaii, led the Divine Liturgy yesterday, Sunday, February 22, at St. Thomas the Hermit Church in Temecula, California. The service was attended by the esteemed Bishops Abraham and Kyrillos, along with several priests from the Los Angeles church community.

Following the Prayer of Reconciliation, the bishops performed the ordination ceremony for Deacon Bachomios Abdelsayed, appointing him as a priest to serve the same church, now known as Father Bachomios. The newly ordained priest will spend forty days at the Monastery of St. Paul the Apostle in Merita, California. It is worth noting that the bishops had previously elevated Deacon Paul Abdelsayed to the rank of deacon during the Divine Liturgy last Friday, under the name “Deacon Bachomios.”
