Former New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern is living in Australia after stints in the UK and the US, as confirmed by her spokesperson. Previously, Ardern had been residing in the United States while working at Harvard University.

The move follows reports that Ardern and her husband, Clarke Gayford, were exploring properties in Sydney. They were spotted looking at homes in the northern beaches areas of Curl Curl and Freshwater, where the median property prices are $4.1 million and $3.9 million, respectively.

According to ABC News, the family has been traveling for a few years now, and their decision to base themselves in Australia allows for more frequent visits back to New Zealand.

In addition to her recent relocation, Ardern has been active in academia, having joined Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government as a Distinguished Fellow. She also released a memoir titled “A Different Kind of Power” and a children’s book called “Mum’s Busy Work” last year.
