According to ABC News, South Australian Police attended the Tollgate Motel in Glen Osmond on Saturday morning after a reported infant death. The cause of the child’s death is currently undetermined.

Police and ambulances were called to the motel, which is adjacent to the South Eastern Freeway and five kilometres south-east of the Adelaide CBD, from 9am. Multiple police vehicles remained at the scene throughout the morning.

Some witnesses estimated that around 20 officers were present. A nearby resident told ABC News: “There were at least four or five police cars here. It’s a bit concerning that we’ve got police cars down the end of our quiet cul-de-sac.”

Police established a cordon and cordoned off a room at the motel before leaving the scene by mid-afternoon. The investigation is continuing with assistance from crime scene investigators and Eastern District Detectives. Police said a report will be prepared for the coroner.
