This week is your last chance to experience the rich flavours and bustling atmosphere of Lakemba Nights during Ramadan 2026.
Thursday 12 March – Sunday 15 March (final night!), 6pm-2am
Over past three weeks, visitors from across the country and abroad have descended on our iconic Haldon Street, some travelling from as far as India, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom!
Marking the event’s roots in an ancient Islamic tradition, we recently held our open-air Taraweeh Prayers and first-ever Iftar (delivered in partnership with the Lebanese Muslim Association and Human Appeal, respectively).
We’ve also had the privilege of welcoming very special guests like the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Her Excellency the Hon. Sam Mostyn AC, and the Mayors of Waverley, Georges River, Hornsby, Hilltops and Byron Shire, in a show of solidarity with and support for the Lakemba community.
In this final week, 50+ stallholders are once again serving up delicious and traditional cuisines, from fiery charcoal skewers and camel burgers to sweet knafeh and kulfi, and more. Be prepared to eat!
Amid the BBQ smoke, tantalising scents and sizzling sounds filling the after-dusk air, these markets are a space for connection for people of all walks of life and beliefs, and this week will be no different.
Don’t miss out on the most iconic and authentic Ramadan foodie event in Australia as it wraps up for 2026!
Road closures will be in place Thursday 12 March to Sunday 15 March, 6pm to 2am. Find our more and plan your trip!
