According to Al Jazeera,

Three Palestinian women were killed when debris or possibly a munition from an Iranian missile fell on a women’s hair salon in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent and news reports. The incident occurred in the town of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron, late on Wednesday.

The Palestinian Authority’s official news agency Wafa reported that the missile fragments, often the result of being shot out of the sky by Israeli air defenses, hit the salon and caused injuries to thirteen others, one of whom is in critical condition. Rory Challands, Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Amman, noted that this incident marks a tragic escalation, as Palestinian communities in the West Bank had previously experienced injuries and property damage from Iranian air attacks without fatalities.

Challands explained that the missile involved was likely a bomblet, a type of cluster munition, which resulted in the casualties. Following the attack, the Palestinian Civil Defence, medics, and explosives engineering teams responded to treat survivors and secure the area. Wafa reported warnings have been issued for local residents to seek secure locations during attacks and to avoid missile debris.

On the same day, a man described as a foreign worker was killed in Moshav Adanim, Israel, during a missile attack, with additional injuries reported from shrapnel in nearby Arab-Israeli towns. An eight-storey building in Tel Aviv was also set ablaze due to missile impacts. Since the onset of conflict 20 days ago, Iran has conducted daily missile attacks targeting Israel and surrounding regions, although there is no evidence that these attacks were intentionally aimed at Palestinian areas under Israeli occupation.

The ongoing conflict, which began with the US and Israeli military operations against Iran on February 28, has resulted in significant casualties on both sides, with at least 15 deaths reported in Israel and at least 1,444 fatalities in Iran, according to the country’s Ministry of Health. The disparity in protective measures is stark, as most Israelis have access to bomb shelters, while Palestinians in the occupied territories largely do not have such defenses.
