On February 28, parents in Minab, Iran, faced unimaginable horror as they searched for their children following a missile strike on Shajareh Tayyebeh primary school. Families described frantic moments filled with confusion and dread, as they received alarming calls about the school’s early closure.
According to The Guardian, Marzieh, a mother of Zahra, recalled hearing the first explosion while at home with her youngest son, Mohammad. Initially thinking it was construction noise, her fears escalated as she learned of the attack. In a haze of panic, she rushed to find her daughter, only to be met with chaos and smoke filling the streets.
The Ahmadi family also faced the devastating news after Mohammadreza Ahmadi, the father, had dropped off his children, Sobhan and Hanieh, at school. He received a phone call later, instructing him to pick them up due to a reported attack. The family’s morning, which began with laughter and affection, quickly turned into a nightmare as they sought safety for their children.
Marzieh Mansouri, another parent, received a call from her son Arya’s teacher informing her that the school was closing due to safety concerns. As she watched the news unfold, panic set in when she heard reports of an attack in Minab. The atmosphere turned chaotic as neighbors rushed to gather information about the situation.
