According to Al Jazeera,

Israeli-US strikes have hit one of Iran’s largest pharmaceutical companies in Tehran, which produces anaesthetics and cancer drugs, the Iranian government said. Separate attacks were reported on Tuesday at a Shia religious site in the northwestern city of Zanjan, local media said.

The Iranian government reported that the Tofigh Daru Research and Engineering Company, owned by the Social Security Investment Company, sustained damage during the attacks. This facility is noted for developing active pharmaceutical ingredients across various medical segments. Former Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif criticized the strikes, labeling them as deliberate attacks on essential medical infrastructure.

In the city of Zanjan, rescue operations conducted by Iranian Red Crescent teams revealed two individuals trapped under rubble after a US-Israeli air strike hit Husseiniya Azam, a Shia congregation hall next to a mosque. Reports indicate one fatality and several injuries in other areas, including Kermanshah province, where a civilian contracting company was struck.

The Iranian government has expressed its outrage, with public demonstrations occurring as a response to the ongoing US-Israeli military actions. Negotiations for a diplomatic resolution have stalled, with a significant loss of life reported since the beginning of the joint attacks on February 28, including at least 1,937 fatalities in Iran.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has indicated that discussions to end the conflict are progressing, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio affirming ongoing communication with Tehran through intermediaries. The situation remains tense as both sides continue military operations, with Iran’s military claiming strikes against Israeli targets in the Gulf.
