At least two people have died and others have been injured following a shooting incident in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. The attack occurred in the southern Holosiivskyi district, as reported by Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

According to BBC News, the situation escalated when the gunman opened fire inside a supermarket, taking hostages. Ukraine’s Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko confirmed that the attacker shot at police officers before being killed.

While the exact number of casualties remains unclear, Klitschko indicated that at least 10 individuals, including a child, have been transported to hospitals for treatment. The police are currently managing the aftermath of the incident as investigations continue.
