US Central Command has published a video said to show a guided-missile destroyer firing at an Iranian-flagged cargo ship near the Strait of Hormuz. The USS Spruance fired several rounds into the Touska’s engine room for ‘violating the US blockade’, before marines boarded it.

Following the attack, US marines boarded the Touska to secure the vessel. This operation marks a significant escalation in US military actions in the region, particularly concerning Iranian maritime activities.

According to Al Jazeera, the incident highlights ongoing tensions in the Gulf, where the US has been actively monitoring Iranian shipping operations.
