Arabic version: إصابة ثلاثة طلاب في المستشفى بعد حادثة MDMA في المدرسة الثانوية
Three students have been taken to hospital after a suspected MDMA “overdose” at Brisbane Water Secondary College in Umina, located on the Central Coast. Emergency crews were called to the incident at about 11am, dispatching seven ambulances to the scene.
According to ABC News, seven students were treated for symptoms related to drug ingestion. Three of these students were taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition as a “precaution”.
NSW Ambulance Superintendent Paul Edmonds confirmed that early intervention by school staff was crucial in addressing the situation. He noted that the school acted appropriately by calling emergency services quickly, allowing paramedics to respond effectively.
In the aftermath, some students who were not directly involved in the emergency have been sent home for the day. Superintendent Edmonds emphasized the importance of communication, suggesting that many students need to explain to their parents what’s happened.
