The UK is expected to experience a rise in temperatures next week, with parts of south-east England potentially reaching as high as 26C. According to BBC News, temperatures will gradually increase from the mid to high teens to the low twenties starting mid-week.

Currently, the UK is experiencing colder temperatures, around 4-7C below average, accompanied by showers, thunderstorms, and hail. These weather patterns are typical for this time of year, as increased daylight and warmth contribute to the development of larger showers.

As the weekend approaches, winds are expected to shift to a westerly direction, bringing a mix of sunshine and rain. Saturday will start bright, but clouds will increase, leading to rain in Northern Ireland and western areas. By Sunday, temperatures will rise to around 12-16C, close to seasonal averages.

Looking ahead to next week, temperatures will continue to rise, reaching 16-20C by Tuesday and Wednesday. While some sunny spells are anticipated, mixed weather with showers will still be present, particularly in northern and western regions. By the end of the week, temperatures may reach 20-26C across most areas, with dry and sunny conditions expected as high pressure builds in from the south.
