Arabic version: أرسنال يحتفل بأول لقب في الدوري الممتاز بعد 22 عامًا
According to BBC News,
Arsenal players were pictured outside Emirates Stadium at 05:00 BST after they were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years, as their celebrations continued. Eberechi Eze posted pictures on Instagram in the early hours of Wednesday, stood outside their stadium in north London alongside team-mates Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber.
The title was confirmed after rivals Manchester City could only manage a draw against Bournemouth. Fans had gathered outside the stadium and local pubs, eagerly anticipating the outcome. When the final whistle blew, cheers erupted in north London as supporters celebrated a long-awaited triumph.
Celebrations also took place at the Gunners’ training ground, where players and staff danced and hugged while chanting: “Campeones, Campeones, Ole Ole Ole!” Captain Declan Rice, who had previously urged caution after a loss to Manchester City, celebrated with a post stating, “It’s done.”
This title win comes in Mikel Arteta’s seventh year as manager, highlighting the importance of stability and time in building a successful team. Former goalkeeper Paul Robinson emphasized this point, suggesting that successful management requires both time and resources to develop a winning squad.
The victory has reignited dreams of further success, as Arsenal prepares to face Paris St-Germain in the Champions League final on May 30. Fans are optimistic, with one supporter expressing confidence in their team’s ability to secure a double.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, a Gunners fan, and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan both congratulated the team on social media, celebrating the significance of the achievement after two decades. Even Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola added his congratulations to Arsenal, acknowledging their deserving victory.
