The United States military has launched strikes against Iranian military sites, escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict between the US-Israel coalition and Iran. This marks day 94 of the war, during which both sides have exchanged attacks. According to Al Jazeera, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that its forces conducted “self-defense strikes” on Iranian radar and drone sites located in the city of Goruk and on Qeshm Island at the weekend.

In retaliation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for targeting a US airbase, asserting that it was responding to prior US actions. The IRGC’s statement did not provide specific details about the airbase or the extent of the damage caused.

On the diplomatic front, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi indicated that Tehran is actively exchanging messages with the US regarding a potential deal to end the conflict. This comes as US President Donald Trump suggested that Iran is keen to reach an agreement, stating on his Truth Social platform that any deal would be favorable for the US and its allies.

In Kuwait, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti army reported that its air defenses successfully intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks. The military advised that sounds of explosions in the area were a result of these interception efforts, highlighting the ongoing regional volatility.

As the conflict continues, the situation remains fluid, with both military exchanges and diplomatic efforts unfolding simultaneously in the region.
