Arabic version: الشرطة تطلب مساعدة الجمهور في البحث عن رجل مفقود في هورشام
Police in Horsham are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of 47-year-old Neville Nicholson, who has been missing since June 17. His family is expressing deep concern for his safety, stating that his disappearance is out of character. According to ABC News, Nicholson was last seen leaving his home on Puls Place around 4 PM on that Wednesday.
Acting Inspector Cameron Ross of the Horsham Police reported that Nicholson was last spotted on foot on Dimboola Road at approximately 5 PM. He emphasized the police’s worries for Nicholson’s welfare, as this is the first instance of him going missing. The police have been actively searching the area for any CCTV footage and have conducted extensive inquiries about his last known whereabouts.
Authorities located Nicholson’s backpack near the railway line on Dimboola Road, which contained his phone. Despite thorough searches, including assistance from the AirWing and the State Emergency Service (SES), no valuable information has emerged thus far. Inspector Ross stated that they are making this public appeal in hopes that someone may have information that could aid in the search.
Nicholson’s son, Aiden, described his father as a homebody who enjoys spending time with family, making his sudden disappearance even more troubling. He urged anyone with any information, no matter how minor, to contact the police. The family remains hopeful for Nicholson’s safe return, stating that he does not typically leave without informing them.
Police are exploring various possibilities, including the chance that Nicholson may have boarded a freight train or traveled interstate. Although they are not treating the case as suspicious, they are open to all leads. Nicholson is described as Caucasian, with a slim build, last seen wearing a light blue shirt, black track pants, and sneakers. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to Crime Stoppers or the Horsham Police.
