Cairo – Al-Damir – Prominent Palestinian film producer Rana Abousaid participated in the closing ceremony of the International Festival for Drums and Traditional Arts, held at the Egyptian Opera House. The event took place amidst a joyful atmosphere and a large audience.

The 12th edition of the festival, scheduled for 2026, was themed “Dialogue of Drums for Peace.” The festival concluded with the song “O Beautiful Name in Existence, O Egypt,” accompanied by the raising of the Egyptian flag and a banner reading “Peace to the World.”

A large number of artists and creatives attended the closing ceremony, including producer Rana Abousaid, theatrical director Dr. Adel Abdo, and artist Hassan Al-Arabi.

During the event, singer and actor Vicente Fernandez from Mexico was honored. The award was received on his behalf by Paulina Merino, the cultural affairs and cooperation officer at the Mexican embassy.

Thousands of spectators engaged with the artistic performances at the Opera House, featuring 15 troupes from various Egyptian folk and traditional arts, alongside groups from foreign communities residing in Egypt.

It is worth noting that the esteemed Palestinian film producer Rana Abousaid is preparing for several cinematic and dramatic projects in collaboration with artists in Egypt and the Arab world.
