Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, announced that the country was unable to export a ‘single barrel of oil’ during the US blockade of its ports. This blockade significantly impacted Iran’s oil industry, which is a crucial sector for its economy.

Ghalibaf stated that the blockade prevented any oil exports, highlighting the severity of the restrictions imposed by the United States. However, he also noted that exports have since surged, indicating a recovery in the country’s oil trade.

According to Al Jazeera, the situation reflects the ongoing challenges faced by Iran in navigating international sanctions and trade restrictions. The ability to resume oil exports is seen as a critical step for Iran in stabilizing its economy and enhancing its global trade relations.
