On the evening of Saturday, July 4th, His Grace Bishop Youssef, the Metropolitan of Texas, Florida, and the southern United States, presided over the celebration marking the opening of the new building for the Church of Archangel Michael in Bedford, Texas. The event was attended by His Grace Bishop Gregory, the General Bishop of the Diocese, along with several priests from the church.
The celebration began with Bishop Youssef cutting the ribbon to officially open the church. Following this, he led the evening service, which was followed by the prayers for the consecration of the church that continued until 7 a.m. the next morning, July 5th. During the Divine Liturgy, the esteemed bishop ordained several new deacons and promoted others to higher ranks, much to the joy of the church community.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of commemorative gifts to the congregation in honor of the church’s opening and consecration.
