According to BBC News, Manchester United lead the pursuit of Roma and France midfielder Manu Kone, though Arsenal are also competing for the 25-year-old. The report, published on 20 July 2026, says United are ahead in the chase for Kone’s signature.

Arsenal have also revived their interest in Athletic Club winger Nico Williams. The 23-year-old, who was part of Spain’s World Cup-winning squad, is believed to have a £77m release clause.

West Ham have rejected a second Roma offer for Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville. Roma’s first bid for the 24-year-old was 46m euros (£39m), and the Italian club are said to be preparing a final proposal.
