According to BBC News, Manchester United lead the pursuit of Roma and France midfielder Manu Kone, though Arsenal are also competing for the 25-year-old. The report, published on 20 July 2026, says United are ahead in the chase for Kone’s signature.
Arsenal have also revived their interest in Athletic Club winger Nico Williams. The 23-year-old, who was part of Spain’s World Cup-winning squad, is believed to have a £77m release clause.
West Ham have rejected a second Roma offer for Dutch forward Crysencio Summerville. Roma’s first bid for the 24-year-old was 46m euros (£39m), and the Italian club are said to be preparing a final proposal. Aston Villa are weighing up a move for Summerville as they seek to replace Morgan Rogers, the 23-year-old England attacking midfielder who is set to join Chelsea.
Elsewhere, Barcelona have arranged a meeting with Ferran Torres to discuss the 26-year-old forward’s plans. Torres has one year remaining on his contract and has attracted interest from Paris St-Germain. Ipswich Town have agreed a deal worth about 10m euros (£8.5m) to sign Morocco centre-back Issa Diop, 29, from Fulham.
Newcastle and Leeds are among Premier League clubs considering FC Midtjylland striker Franculino Dju, 22, with the Danish club seeking more than £21m for the Guinea-Bissau international. AC Milan have identified Genk winger Konstantinos Karetsas, 18, as a summer target, but may need to sell Portugal forward Rafael Leao, 27, to fund a move.
