According to Al Jazeera, US President Donald Trump said progress had been made with Iran, while warning that the country could face a “hard hit” if negotiations do not produce a deal.

Trump also said the “hardest hit is yet to come” if the talks fail. The comments combined an assertion of movement in the negotiations with a warning of possible consequences should no agreement be reached.

He claimed that the United States paused what he described as the “biggest military attack since World War II” after Tehran requested talks.
