According to SBS News, a Senate inquiry into proposed changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme has published its recommendations.

The federal government’s proposed reforms are aimed at cracking down on fraud and spending within the NDIS. The proposals would slash NDIS spending and participation, SBS News reported.

Advocates have warned the changes could carry significant consequences. The inquiry’s recommendations were published on 14 August 2026.
