According to ABC News, the New Zealand Warriors defeated Brisbane 40-6, but half Luke Metcalf and Broncos fullback Reece Walsh both left the field injured. Metcalf clutched his right hamstring after converting the Warriors’ third try, while Walsh was hurt in a hip-drop tackle that sent Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad to the sin bin.

The third-placed Warriors drew level on competition points with second-placed Penrith and have won five of their past six games.
