According to ABC News, Victoria Police have released CCTV footage showing a getaway vehicle being set alight after the murder of Athan Boursinos in Wollert.

Mr Boursinos, 21, was shot dead in a laneway behind a property in Champions Parade shortly before 9am on July 31. Police believe he was targeted by an interstate organised crime syndicate and that men who carried out the shooting travelled from New South Wales.

The shooters allegedly fled in a Nissan Patrol, which was later found burnt out on Amery Street in Reservoir. The newly released footage shows the vehicle being set alight and a man running from the scene.

Investigators believe three men later travelled in a stolen grey Volkswagen Golf to an address in Dallas. They later left in an Isuzu D-Max at about 11:50am, with police alleging two men were dropped at Reservoir while two others continued towards Glenroy. The vehicle was later found burnt out at Mickleham.

Detective Inspector Leigh Howse said police were seeking public assistance to identify and establish the roles of four men believed to have been involved. Police say two are believed to be from New South Wales and two from Victoria. Detectives have identified and spoken with two men whose images were released in November 2025.
