According to ABC News, CMC Rocks QLD will return to Willowbank in Ipswich, Queensland, from March 17 to 21, 2027, for its 20th edition, led by Brooks & Dunn, Eric Church and Ashley McBryde.
The festival will be held on Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul Country. Brooks & Dunn’s appearance will mark the country duo’s first Australian shows since 2009. Festival Director Jeremy Dylan said their earlier visit “kicked the door open for Nashville superstars to take our country and our fans seriously.”
The international programme also includes Kameron Marlowe, Parker McCollum, Turnpike Troubadours, 49 Winchester, Randall King, Lanie Gardner, Zach John King, Colby Acuff, Kaylee Bell, Lily Meola and Kassi Ashton.
Australian artists on the bill include Lane Pittman, Zac & George, Rachael Fahim, Tori Darke, Dear Tommie, Loren Ryan, Jack Biilmann, Ethan Calway, Piper Butcher, Sons of Atticus, Sarah Grace Buckley, Bianca Joulianou, Caillin Malley, Willie Pake and Dee Kay Bux.
CMC Rocks began in 2008 as CMC Rocks The Snowys, with Taylor Swift as its first headliner. Following events in the Hunter Valley and Townsville, it moved to Willowbank Raceway in 2015. Tickets go on sale at 10am AEST on Friday, September 25.
