CAS Hears Senegal’s AFCON Title Appeal

According to France 24, Senegal and Morocco are continuing their dispute over the Africa Cup of Nations title at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The case comes 10 months after what France 24 described as an explosive AFCON final. Senegal is appealing Morocco’s victory by default, with a verdict expected within days.

Elsewhere in Kenya, health officials are tracing dozens of contacts after an Ebola patient died following a journey from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Zimbabwean author Simbarashe Steyn Kundizeza also won the 2026 Caine Prize for African Writing for the short story “The Blue Fighter”.
