According to BBC News, Glasgow Warriors beat Connacht 36-19 at Scotstoun Stadium to secure a bonus-point victory and retain their unbeaten start to the United Rugby Championship season.

Connacht began strongly, with number eight Sean Jansen scoring the opening try. Glasgow responded through their rolling maul, however, as Gregor Hiddleston touched down before Rory Darge finished another driving effort. George Horne converted Darge’s try to give the hosts a five-point lead.

Glasgow continued to exploit Connacht’s difficulties defending the maul. Prop Sam Illo was sent to the sin-bin for illegally stopping one such drive, but the hosts scored regardless when Hiddleston claimed his second try. Glasgow led by 12 points at half-time.

The Warriors earned their bonus-point try after Dan Lancaster’s cross-field kick found Jamie Dobie, whose grubber set up Josh McKay. Connacht rallied through two Josh Ioane tries, cutting the gap to one score at 26-19.

Connacht substitute Josh Murphy was then sin-binned for a high shot on Seb Stephen. Glasgow quickly made the extra player count, with Stephen completing another rolling-maul try. Lancaster added a late penalty as the hosts sealed the maximum five points.
