Arabic version: كول بالمر يمدد عقده مع تشيلسي حتى 2034
According to BBC News, Cole Palmer has signed an improved Chelsea contract that will run until 2034. The England international, 24, had already been tied to the club until 2033, but Chelsea have rewarded him after his emergence as one of their key attacking players.
Palmer’s new agreement places him among the Premier League players contracted through 2034. Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Chelsea team-mates Joao Pedro and Geovany Quenda are also signed until that year. Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in a £42.5m move in 2023 and signed his previous contract two years ago.
The extension is part of Chelsea’s approach of renewing deals for established and emerging players while maintaining the club’s wage structure. Joao Pedro agreed a new contract until 2034 in August, while Pedro Neto signed a new six-year deal last month. Palmer has scored four goals and supplied two assists in seven matches this season.
His early-season form follows a campaign affected by a niggling groin issue, which Palmer said he had played through when he “probably shouldn’t have done”. He missed England’s recent international break, but manager Xabi Alonso said Palmer is expected to be available for Saturday’s match against Bournemouth. Chelsea are 10th after five matches and have conceded 12 goals.
