According to Cnbc, the busiest week of third-quarter earnings season will coincide with a Federal Reserve policy meeting and September personal consumption expenditures price-index data. The schedule arrives as the artificial-intelligence trade continues to weaken, while elevated oil prices, Middle East headlines and midterm-election uncertainty remain in focus for equity investors.

Boeing opens the featured earnings calendar on Tuesday, with free cash flow and its full-year guidance expected to be key issues. On Wednesday, investors will watch GE Vernova’s gas-turbine orders, pricing, margins and longer-term demand tied to data-center power needs. Alphabet’s Google Cloud performance, TPU sales, Search growth, Gemini 4 Argon and future capital spending are also set to draw attention. Microsoft’s Azure growth, cloud backlog and paid Copilot seats will be central to its report.

Thursday’s reports include Eli Lilly, Linde, Amazon, Intel and Starbucks. Lilly faces expectations for another beat-and-raise quarter, with its international GLP-1 business, Medicare obesity coverage and obesity-pill ramp-up among the areas to watch. Amazon’s AWS revenue growth and operating margin are expected to be major stock drivers, while holiday demand, shopping agents and robotics are additional themes. Intel’s data-center CPU business and potential external customer for its 14A process are in focus, while Starbucks must show comparable-store sales momentum and profit progress.

The Fed will conclude its two-day October meeting on Wednesday, followed by the September PCE release on Thursday. The central bank is widely expected to leave rates unchanged, though the market is pricing roughly a 75% chance of a December rate hike, according to CME’s FedWatch. Investors will assess how the policy decision and inflation data affect bond yields and expectations for future Fed actions. FedEx’s unconventional four-month report, FedEx Freight’s first official release as a standalone company, and higher fuel costs will also be closely watched.
