Arabic version: ديشامبو يظل ملتزماً بمخاوف تمويل LIV جولف
Bryson DeChambeau has firmly denied any intentions of leaving LIV Golf this year. This statement comes as the future of the breakaway golf series faces uncertainty following Saudi Arabia’s announcement to withdraw its substantial financial backing after the 2026 season. LIV Golf is currently seeking new financial investments under a newly formed independent board.
According to BBC News, recent reports suggested that DeChambeau’s representatives were in discussions with PGA Tour executives regarding a potential return. However, the 32-year-old golfer has categorically dismissed these claims, stating, “It’s completely untrue. I’m working as hard as I can to find a solution.”
DeChambeau, who joined LIV Golf in 2022, expressed his commitment to the series, emphasizing his focus on developing team golf and promoting the sport globally. He mentioned ongoing efforts to establish junior golf events and academies as part of LIV’s mission to grow the game.
With his contract expiring at the end of the current season, DeChambeau is reportedly negotiating a new deal. He previously indicated that he was optimistic about the future of LIV Golf, stating, “As long as LIV is here, I would figure out a way for it to make sense.”
The uncertainty surrounding funding has raised questions about the retention of key players within the league, including DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Cameron Smith, who have previously declined opportunities to return to the PGA Tour. As LIV Golf navigates these challenges, DeChambeau remains focused on his role in helping the league succeed moving forward.
