Dr. Rania Marwan Sbano, a Syrian expert in international law, international arbitrator, and founder and president of the Arab and Syrian Women’s Leadership Foundation in the UK, expressed her immense happiness at participating in the Second Forum on Arbitration and Mediation. This event is organized by the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University, the Ain Shams Arbitration Center, the Judges Club of Suez and South Sinai, and the Kemit Arbitration Center. The collaboration represents a high level of institutional integration between academic frameworks, judicial systems, and professional practices, all of which contribute to supporting swift justice and enhancing the efficiency of dispute resolution systems at both national and institutional levels.
In her statements to the press today in Cairo, Dr. Sbano noted the forum attracted a wide audience, including numerous judges and legal professionals. It featured a significant number of judges, advisors, and experts, clearly indicating the growing importance of arbitration and mediation as strategic legal options that contribute to balancing the rapid resolution of disputes with the guarantees of justice and the quality of rulings. Notably, the sessions were presented by Counselor Kamal Khalifa and Mr. Abdul Rahman, the executive director of the Kemit Arbitration Center, reflecting a highly professional organizational framework that demonstrated advanced levels of legal governance and institutional discipline.
Dr. Sbano emphasized that all contributions during the forum underscored the necessity of establishing a culture of arbitration and mediation as effective legal mechanisms that help alleviate the burden on traditional courts and ensure speedy resolutions while maintaining justice and procedural safeguards.
As the founder and president of the Arab and Syrian Women’s Forum, she highlighted that this prominent legal event marks an important milestone and a qualitative addition to her academic and professional journey in arbitration and dispute resolution.
