Arabic version: الغارات الجوية الإسرائيلية تودي بحياة أربعة أشخاص في غزة رغم وقف إطلاق النار

Israeli attacks have killed at least four Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, according to medics and local health officials, despite a “ceasefire” agreed last October. Medics said one person was killed in an air attack near the central village of al-Mughraq, while two others were killed by gunfire and shelling near Gaza City. In southern Gaza, health officials said Israeli forces shot a 40-year-old woman dead in Khan Younis.

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli military claimed, without providing evidence, that its forces had killed several Hamas fighters in Gaza since Friday. Reports from Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary indicate that three Palestinians were shot by a quadcopter drone near the al-Kuwait roundabout, an area that divides northern and southern Gaza.

Khoudary highlighted ongoing violations, noting that daily airstrikes and the presence of drones continue to plague the region. She mentioned the expansion of the “Yellow Line,” which marks territory controlled by the Israeli army. This partitioning has resulted in a significant portion of the enclave being under Israeli military control, while many displaced Palestinians are crammed into the remaining areas.

The situation has further exacerbated shortages of food and medicine in Gaza, with Khoudary reporting that normal medications are not available. The blockade has severely restricted aid, with only around 150 to 190 trucks entering the Strip daily, far below the 600 trucks that were meant to enter when the ceasefire commenced. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports that at least 800 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect, while Israeli sources claim that four of its soldiers have been killed during the same period.
